Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 July 2026

This policy explains what personal information Site Seen Digital collects, why we collect it, how we look after it, and the rights you have over it. If you have any questions, email tyler@siteseendigital.co.uk.

Who we are

Site Seen Digital ("we", "us", "our") designs and builds websites for tradespeople and small businesses. We are the "data controller" responsible for your personal data.

  • Business: Site Seen Digital, a sole trader business
  • Based in: Surrey, UK — our full trading address is available on request; just email us.
  • Email: tyler@siteseendigital.co.uk
  • Phone: 07766 058339

What information we collect

We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and provide our service. This includes:

  • Information you give us through our contact form, website questionnaire, email, phone or WhatsApp — such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, trade, and any details you share about your project.
  • Payment information when you pay us. Card and bank details are entered directly into our payment provider, Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
  • Technical information collected automatically when you visit the site, such as your IP address and basic device/browser information, held in standard server logs by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

How we use your information, and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote — on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
  • To design, build and support your website and manage our ongoing services — on the basis of performing our contract with you.
  • To take payments for one-off work and ongoing plans (including Direct Debit) — on the basis of performing our contract with you.
  • To keep records and meet our legal and tax obligations — on the basis of our legal obligations.
  • To keep the website secure and working — on the basis of our legitimate interests.

We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to, and we will never sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We only share your data with trusted providers who help us run our business, and only for the purposes above. These include:

  • Netlify — hosts our website and processes our contact and questionnaire form submissions.
  • Stripe — securely processes payments and Direct Debits. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts — serves the fonts used on this site, which may involve your browser requesting files from Google.
  • Our email provider, so we can reply to and keep a record of correspondence with you.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. It may set essential cookies needed for the site and its forms to work, and loads Google Fonts and a small amount of code from trusted networks to display and secure the pages. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Where you become a client, we keep project and payment records for as long as we work together and for as long as the law requires afterwards (financial records are generally kept for six years). We securely delete or anonymise data we no longer need.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate;
  • Ask us to delete your data, where there is no good reason for us to keep it;
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your data;
  • Ask us to move your data to another provider, where technically possible.

To exercise any of these, email tyler@siteseendigital.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Please check back occasionally.
